Before and After Image Retouching
Project Overview
In this project, I was commissioned to transform a series of raw photographs into professionally retouched visuals for a beauty and lifestyle brand. The primary objective was to enhance the overall aesthetic—correct lighting, balance colors, remove imperfections, and subtly elevate facial features—while keeping the final result realistic and emotionally engaging. Each image was edited manually using Adobe Photoshop to ensure consistency, detail preservation, and visual harmony. This project aimed to demonstrate the striking difference between raw input and polished output using expert retouching.

Challenges
Several original photos were poorly lit or underexposed, requiring precise tonal adjustments without introducing noise.
Skin retouching had to be done delicately to remove blemishes without making the model look unnatural.
The client requested multiple revisions to match their branding tone—requiring adaptable presets and layer-based editing.
Tight turnaround time meant creating a workflow that was both efficient and high-quality.
Results
Delivered a full set of polished “before and after” visuals that clearly highlighted the transformation process.
Increased visual consistency across the client’s portfolio and social channels.
Achieved a 60% boost in engagement (likes, shares, saves) on retouched images compared to previous posts.
The client praised the attention to detail and has since returned for two additional projects.
